Angelo Lelli
Angelo Lelli (1979–1911) was an Italian designer and founder of Arredoluce, established in Monza in 1947. His work defined post-war Italian lighting through a balance of craftsmanship and industrial clarity. Beginning with the Tris light, first shown in Domus in 1946, he created designs distinguished by precise mechanics, elegant geometry, and materials such as brass, lacquered steel, and opaline glass. The Triennale floor lamp became an icon of modern domestic mobility and refinement. Collaborating with Achille Castiglioni and Gio Ponti, Lelli helped position Italian lighting as a global reference. His designs are represented in the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Triennale Milano, and major international collections.
