Dominique Zimbacca
Dominique Zimbacca (2011-1928) was a prominent French architect and designer celebrated for his pioneering work in organic architecture and as a creator of sculptural, Brutalist furniture. Throughout his career, often in collaboration with Hervé Baley, he rejected the rigid modern functionalism of the era. Instead, Zimbacca aimed to design living spaces and objects that fostered harmony between people and nature, integrating buildings seamlessly into their surrounding landscape. His signature furniture pieces, which include hand-carved chairs, tables, and lighting fixtures, are known for their raw, powerful aesthetic and are highly valued as unique works of art in the design markets today.
