Móveis Cimo
Founded in 1913 in Rio Negrinho, Santa Catarina, Móveis Cimo (Companhia Industrial de Móveis) became a cornerstone of industrial furniture in Brazil. It evolved from a small wood-box workshop into a national manufacturer that brought modern design into schools, offices, and homes across the country. Combining industrial precision with Brazilian material culture, Cimo standardized parts, finishes, and modular systems that reflected both efficiency and optimism. Its furniture, including school chairs, work desks, and modular cabinets, embodied clarity, durability, and democratic access to modernism. Today, Cimo’s production is valued for its craftsmanship and for shaping Brazil’s industrial design identity.
