Samuel Ross’s Birth At Dawn is a limited edition sculpture that merges brutalist forms with a vibrant material dialogue. Crafted from disparate industrial and natural components including Nero Africa granite, glass fiber reinforced concrete, and painted steel the work juxtaposes cool, hard surfaces with organic, fiery patinas of fired honey and milk. The piece is a concise yet powerful exploration of tension between material honesty and abstract sculptural form.
