Jonathan Trayte’s Cherry Pie Sculpture exemplifies his vibrant, pop art aesthetic, where mundane culinary items are transformed into surreal objects of desire and commentary on consumer culture. The piece uses saturated colors and a mix of textures, using bronze to mimic the soft, synthetic appearance of a baked good, while integrating glass elements to add contrast and a reflective surface.
