Designed in 1961–62, the Curva chair turns a continuous rosewood back rail into a line drawn through space. Fine vertical spindles and a caned seat keep the structure open, while tapered legs give the chair a poised, almost floating stance. The model captures Tenreiro’s idea of leveza: lightness as grace and spatial clarity rather than simply low weight. In this pair, craftsmanship remains visible but never emphatic.
