The Lamp (Bamboo Leaves) is one of the last pieces designed by Andrea Branzi in 2022. Its shade is made of Japanese rice paper with bamboo leaves pressed between the layers, visible as natural shadows once the lamp is lit. An aluminum and bamboo structure carries the shade, combining organic and industrial materials in one form. The work belongs to the “neo-primitive” approach Branzi developed from the 1980s, in which nature returns to the domestic interior and the object takes on meaning beyond its function.
