Faye Toogood’s Plot II is a sculptural low table or bench from her Assemblage 7: Lost and Found collection, realized in either hand-carved English oak with a traditional shellac finish or hand-carved Purbeck marble, a rare, fossil-rich limestone. Toogood began the design process by modeling forms in clay, which were then subtractively carved from the final monolithic material to create a rugged, textured surface that suggests a found or excavated archaeological object.
