The Triad Chair is a work by Wendell Castle from 2006, made in fiberglass and finished in silver leaf. Castle first worked in fiberglass in the late 1960s, when he began using moulded, gel coated plastic to make bold, sculptural seating. The Triad Chair returns to that material with a fluid, organic form, and the silver leaf gives the surface a reflective finish usually found on decorative objects.
